Recently, I had the pleasure to speak with Dr. Joseph Shaw.

Dr. Joseph Shaw is a member of the Philosophy Faculty of Oxford University. His areas of teaching interest include Aristotle’s Nicomachaean Ethics and St. Thomas Aquinas’s thinking on action and ethics.

In particular interest for our discussion, Dr. Shaw has written about the “man-crisis” in society, Catholic patriarchy and what the Church teaches about the role of the father in the family.

Dr. Shaw holds multiple degrees from Oxford in the areas of philosophy and theology and was awarded a doctorate in Philosophy in the year 2000. Elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Dr. Shaw is the Chairman of the Latin Mass Society and vice chairmen of the Anscombe Bioethics Center.
